We all have one right?
Sometimes I feel bad taking up a whole cupboard but then I see the real bread and some donuts on the counter and the feeling passes.

I am very lucky, my husband lives gluten free at home so no worry of cross contamination for me. I. Demanded at least one place in the world that I don’t have to worry. Poor thing eats cakes over bin or outside if they are gluten filled – which happens once in a blue moon and then I sanitise the hell out of his hands!!!!
My husband has a gluten island/trolley in the Kitchen for his bread board, toaster, snacks etc and one bit of the fridge. I would say this is because he’s now outnumbered by GF people in our household but it’s honestly the only way we’ve found to contain the gluten properly. I revel in the ungluteness of my kitchen (which feels like the only place on Earth). Apart from when it’s messy and there are crumbs on the floor. Then I get stressed out…and wish I could order a takeaway.
Baking nice GF treats he (and my son) can eat over-rides the guilt of kitchen space…
I’m training my boy (19 months) to not eat other people’s bread/biscuits which are at pretty much every toddler activity we go to. He’s starting to understand he has a special tummy and if he finds a biscuit on the floor he comes and gives it to me instead of eating it…this prompts mild panic as I “disinfect” myself and him and bin the biscuit….which turns onto relief that he didn’t eat/lick it….
That must be so hard poor thing! We’re really hoping our boy isn’t going to get it – he is only 4 months old so we don’t know yet…
